I will make this short and sweet (which I tell all the ladies by the way). June 16th, 2014 is going to be the most important day in my life. Until I get married but that will be far away from now, trust me. On that day I will make the move from Colorado Springs, CO to Los Angeles, CA. Yep, you guys read that correctly, MOVE to LA. Not going to have a vacation, but to live. To live and work. Now some of my friends are probably saying to themselves "Ah he's bullshiting us!". Well, I am not. This is a big step for someone who has only lived and worked in Colorado Springs, CO his entire life.
I am not saying that Colorado Springs has not been good to me. It has been, but it's also had it's moments I would rather forget. Los Angeles offers, to me, more. It offers more in terms of stand up comedy, in terms of connections to write movies, in terms of more acting work, in terms of access to extremely pretty ladies to really distract me from real life. But, since I was a little guy I have always had this thought that I will live in LA.
Colorado Springs, you have been kind to me and for the next 3 months I will enjoy as much of you as I can. The places, the people, the really odd political happenings will be enjoyed more by me until June. You have given me so much in terms of memories and friends and family who will acknowledge I am who I am and love me either way. You have let me embrace your surroundings, even though some law enforcement wouldn't let me. You have, in essence, given me so much in 36 years on planet Earth. But when June 16th rolls around, I must say goodbye to you.
As for Los Angeles, you have 3 months to prepare for an extremely handsome fella with a husky figure (that by the way is being worked on through exercise and good diet). Be prepared for me to embrace your craziness and your beaches. I have always made it a dream to live and work in your city and I feel, with the good grace of God, that the time is right to get this going. I cannot wait to be IN YOU LOS ANGELES!!!!
So in closing, the next three months in Colorado Springs is going to be fun and frankly challenging. And for 36 years it has done that to me and will let it do that to me. But I will take it in more from the 719 than I have ever done. And will say miss your "I am extremely bi-polar" weather...scratch that. NO I WON'T MISS THAT! I will, however, take in what you can give me until June. Because the move to Los Angeles on June 16th will be the last time you enjoy my antics.
